How may I view the app version in my tablet?

    You go to the app's About page (somewhere in the menu) or you go to device Settings page > Applications > Manage applications > Downloaded and select the app (the path may be different on your device).

    Thanks Dave. I found the ver. in my tablet. It's .6. I have tried to install .8 a number of times and each time I get the msg. "application not installed" after "installing" for a few seconds. I saw a post where someone went thru the procedure for correcting this but now I can't find it. At the time I verified all his suggested checks were correct in my tablet. (brand new Kindel Fire). Any suggestions? I have tried the down load from Logos and Amazon. Google tells me something about a white bag icon. Don't know what thats about.

    The white bag icon is for the Google Play store and is not applicable for the Kindle Fire.  I'm assuming you installed the app from the Amazon app store. Version 2.0.6 is the latest version that has been approved by Amazon. 2.0.8 should be approved very soon and then you will be able to update the app through the Amazon app store.  The reason installing the apk you downloaded from this forum does not work is because you installed from the Amazon App Store, and you can't switch between installation locations (forum vs App Store) without completely uninstalling the app (which will lose all downloaded resources).  We highly recommend just waiting for Amazon to approve the 2.0.8 update. It shouldn't be too much longer!
