Opening a link (Explorer) in a specified window

When I study, I have three windows open; main window with Bible, hyper-link window to open cross-references found in the main bible window, and the Explorer window.  When I click on a commentary in the Explorer window, the commentary opens a new tab in the main Bible window, and closes my Bible tab.  I would prefer the commentary open a new tab in the "hyper-link" window.  Is there a way to specify which window a link will open in?

Unfortunately not. The most frequent work-around is to drag the link to the desired location (especially when clicking on a library resource or search result).

Early in Logos4 development there was significant concern that the design would literally swamp the Bellingham staff, once it was released.

So to try to discourage too many customers (and indeed helping out the beleaguered competition), several features were purposely left out (others delayed):

- Opening to a default layout (requested again today by another forum member)

- Opening resources, and links in specified locations (the one you're talking about)

- Having a primary link vs a follower link (to avoid commentaries yanking the Bibles around unexpectedly)

- Being able to save ones settings and licenses to a personal disk (personal backup)

- Being able to selectively choose not to send ones personal data to the 'cloud'

Unfortunately, the strategy didn't work. Logos4 when released, far exceeded expectations, and staff indeed was badly swamped. And yes, the competition has been weakened measurably.
