2.08 Crash - Ongoing Crash with Each New Release Since 2.04

2.08 crashes upon 1st run after 2.09 is released.

Details:

2.09 was released Friday. On Saturday, discovered it was there. Start Bible. Check News. "Checking for Updates" takes a very long time. Crash. Just like every 1st run after new release since 2.04, this 1st run of 2.08 after 2.09 is release crashes, too.

BTW, app is NOT automatically updating, so I'm having to do manual install.

Manually installed 2.09.

New behavior: usually, never finishes checking for updates before crashing. If it does finish find an update, it identifies NASB95 (which I've downloaded) as needing an update, starts downloading it (at my request), & then crashes before finishing. Basically, v. 9 crashes every time.

Now what?
