Download New Book Purchase

I recently purchased A Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scriptures on a Pre-Pub order and it shows up in my "Orders" tab but I can find no way to get this into my library. I would have thought this would be automatic but it's not, and not at all intuitive. Does anyone know how to crack the code? Or, am I the dummy??

Hi Ronald! Welcome to the forums!

I am unfamiliar with this work, but it seems that it is released now. Did it come out recently? If so, it may take a little time for the license to be added to your account. Did you get an email saying that you have been charged yet? You can always try the commands update now or update resources.

Welcome to the forums. No, you are not a dummy, because Logos always tell you that it will download and instal automatically. Sometimes it does, but not always. Type Update Now into the command bar and select update now from the dropdown and your program will start looking for it and will download then invite you to restart Logos to instal.

Hopefully you've got the book by now, but just for the future: you should go to Program Settings and check that you've got Use Internet and Automatically Download Updates set to Yes. Also check that automatic updates aren't set to take place at a time when your computer is shut down or offline.

If those settings are OK, the download should normally start automatically within a couple of hours of the arrival of the e-mail. If you want to speed it up, a restart or update now should do the trick, or, as a last resort, update resources.

Thanks for this suggestion, I'll do both of those things tonight. The automatic updates should be set to run when the computer is on, but that's a good point to check. I have Logos on my home computer, so I haven't tried any suggestions yet.
