Scripture links in notes

I am just starting to work with notes and have not discovered how to add a Scripture link to a note. For example, I have a general note that has the text "Gen. 12:2-3". If I hove over that text, I do not get a popup of the Biblical text. Is there a way to accomplish that?

    Some time in the future they will link automatically, as they already do on Windows, but for now you'll have to do it manually:

    1. Select the reference.
    2. Cmd-C to copy.
    3. Click on the hyperlink (chain) icon (there is a shortcut, but I can never remember it).
    4. Cmd-V to paste.
    5. Enter.
