Libraries dont match: Win7 & Android

I have Logos installed on my laptop and on my tablet but my tablet has much more books. Is there a setting I'm missing, or some way to have these libraries match?

    Hi Gene - and welcome to the forums.

    Rughly how many more books do you see on Android?

    The mobile platforms have some free books which are not available on the desktop version (up to about 70) and I wonder if these are what you are seeing.

    Can you give some examples of titles which appear on the tablet but not on your laptop?

    Hi Graham,

    That sounds like it would make perfect sense in this case. I have 7 in the desktop library and 74 in the Android library. On the Android I have ESV, YLT, Systematic Theology and JFB Commentary - all not on desktop. I wish they were!

    Do you happen to know, if I upgrade to a base package like the Bible Study or Leader's Library would the desktop and Android libraries match? Perhaps then my Android wouldn't require a wifi connection, as I'm in Eastern Europe and a connection is not always possible.

    That makes sense.

    At the Logos mobile page - http://www.logos.com/mobile/iphone - about halfway down there is information about the 41 books you get for free when downloading the app and the 26 additional ones you get when creating a Logos account.

    The ESV and YLT are included in the first set and Systematic Theology and JFB are in the second.

    They wouldn't match - for a couple of reasons.

     

    • The free mobile resources may not all be included in base packages
    • There are some "desktop" resources which are not currently available on mobile due to licencing restrictions

     

    Having said that, the four resources you mention (assuming the Systematic Theology volume is the one by Charles Hodge) are all present in most base packages including Bible Study and Leader's. (Some are not available in the Home or Original Languages package). For more details of what is included please see http://www.logos.com/comparison.

    One of the benefits of having purchased resources (either in a base package or separately) is that they are then available for download and can be read while offline. (Though some functions - such as Passage Guide and Text Comparison - require Internet connections as they are executed on Logos servers).
