Personal Book - Sporadic Line Spacing, Why?

I've compiled a personal book of some lecture notes using MS Word : Mac 2011. I've gone right through the document to make line spacing consisted (i.e. by going to: Format > Paragraph > Ensuring 'Before', 'After' and 'Line Spacing' are consistent throughout.)
This is what an extract of the MS Word document looks like [ - the spacing looks how I want it to appear in Logos]:
However, when I open up my personal book in Logos, this is what I see:
Any ideas on how I can make the line spacing of the personal book appear in Logos as it does in MS Word?
Thanks

Thanks for the suggestion Rosie. I've tried that - and all my paragraphs are set to the same "Normal" outline mode, however the problem still persists...

is there a line break at end of (2) instead of standard return? try removing formatting on that cluster and resetting it

Thanks Dominic. When I turned on "Show all nonprinting characters" it enabled me to see the inconsistent line breaks, etc. When I cleaned these up, it's formatted properly now. [Y]
