Minor forum changes

In moving towards the goal outlined by Bob here, I've made a couple small changes to the forums. The Poster name links above each post now link to that user's Faithlife activity page. The Forum Activity link next to the name links to the old forum profile page. A few more small tweaks to make the forums a bit more consistent with Faithlife should be coming soon.

Well, I've no druthers on the direction of the Logos forum etc. But I'm not into FaithLife and its theological underpinning. I'm guessing after I finish up my Logos purchases in November, I'll have to pull my whole 'identity' (if I can anyway ... Logos.com account etc). I suspected this would happen back in 2009. So, I'm good.
This isn't meant to be critical or anything. I just have my own personal line.

For the last 3-4 days i have been unable to access the forums through Chrome. I get this errror:
Sorry, there was a problem with your last request!
Either the site is offline or an unhandled error occurred. We apologize and have logged the error. Please try your request again or if you know who your site administrator is let them know too.
I am on windows 7. I can access through IE

I normally do a lot of my viewing of the forums in Chrome so I know they are working for the general case with Chrome browsers, but I'll see if I can find any errors reported.
I did recently fix some problems with Chrome on iOs devices, but that shouldn't affect you running on Windows. Do you know which version of Chrome you are running?

We tried with that version and with the current Chrome beta and it worked fine. Can you try logging out of Logos.com and then visiting the forums? You should at least be able to view the forums while logged out.

I'm confused on your problem with Faithlife? What are your issues?

Chrome is not the only version seeing this. Occasionally i see it on FireFox
First, try the logging out of logos.com, visiting the forums, and then logging back again cycle as well. That may help with the problem, but it depends what the cause it to know why you received this.
If I am trying to fit a really quick update in for the forums you may see this, but it shouldn't be for more than a minute or two. If you are getting this repeatedly, I'd like to find out if there are specific pages giving you the error or anything else I can use to track this down.

It just pops up occasionally over the last few days. It goes away when i click on the reload button and loads the forum topics page properly.

You have also managed to slow the forum response to a crawl when marking forums as "read".

Really? I thought it was more responsive (since David posted this) than it used to be. Perhaps this is a browser issue - the "mark as read" is a Java-functionality which may undergo some stronger security checks due to the recent exploit. It may help Logos if you tell them about your configuration.

I get the message in the status bar "Waiting for response from Logos.com" so the Java script runs, but there is a delay from the web site in response.
I am running IE 9 on a HP i7-2600 CPU with 10 GB memory with Verizon FIOS IPS. No other issues.

The problem seems to have resolved itself. The response is now almost instantaneous.[8-|]
