This extensive selection and very good translation from the works of Luther were made in the late 1940s by a Lutheran scholar, Ewald Plass, who had excellent German- and Latin-lnguage skills. His generation of Lutheran clergymen in America was possibly the last to have these necessary skills in such depth. Luther's German is now antique and often obscure to the speaker of modern German, so we have to praise those scholars who make a large, representative presentation from Luther's writings available to the English-speaking world. The topics reflect the interests of Christians and especially students of Reformation history. Even browsing in the book will provide insights that help to correct or at least finetune many of the generalizations made today about Martin Luther's theological viewpoints. comments by Donald K Watkins on amazon.com
I observed references to this work by Dr. Ken Ham, founder of the Creation Museum in his lecture "In Six Days", in reference to Genesis 1-11. I am interested in getting this resource in Logos 4.x format. It is not available in Kindle (yet).
