Every time I click on a word in a resource with a three finger "click," L4 crashes.

I just did it; here are the logs. Please let me know if I haven't given you the exact logs you'd like.
Also any reason in these for lags in menu responses?

The primary log that is needed is the logos4.log file. You will find that in your user account library, which is hidden in 10.7 & 10.8. Also, you must enable logging in Logos. The easiest way to do that is through the apple script program that is linked to in the wiki address I gave you before.

Do you mean that when you click on the menu, there is a lag in the menu responding? I am not having this problem, but I did have similar problems in other (non logos) apps which required a fresh install of the OS.

Yes, on the menus, there is a long enough lag that I often end up clicking twice because I wasn't sure and then it flashes open and closed.
This was occurring with Snow Leopard and then when I upgraded to ML at the end of July 2012, I did a complete format of the disk and fresh install. So I think there is a slim chance that a fresh install is needed.

Ross - you got the right log file this time. [:)]
I took a look at it, but the issue is beyond my abilities. Hopefully a techie will be by along soon. I am going to follow this thread because I am interested to know what the issue is too!

Using Logos 4 Mac, learned to click and wait. Response time is quicker on a faster Mac; curious about CPU Speed ?
Also wondering if Notes is open with a Split view when Logos 4 Mac crashes ?
Keep Smiling [:)]

I have a 17" mbp, i5, 2.53; 8gb ram, 7200 hd. I know technology changes quickly but I thought I'd get many more productive years of L4 on this machine--not that I have money to upgrade for many more years.
No notes open at all. Just ESV alone.
"Using Logos 4 Mac, learned to click and wait." So when will this be fixed?

Ross: Unless you are having other program issues, it's not your Mac. You are well beyond required specs for running Logos.
Logos is simply fragile and does not always install as it should and can become corrupted during updates.
As far as "click and wait" KSFJ is correct, it's just part of Logos functionality as it is shipped.
There are things you can do that helps some: Turn off features you do not use. ( Logos loads lots of searching/guides etc. by default.
Turn off internet in settings, this eliminates it from setting up internet based searches ( which uses up computer cycles).
Turn off any guides you do not need until such time as you need than function.
How many panels you have linked can al;so affect performance, especially with scrolling issues.
Hope that helps.

I was able to reproduce this and have filed a case for the issue. Thank you.
