The Catholic Bible Concordance:

The Catholic Bible Concordance: Revised Standard Version, Catholic Edition ($25)
The only comment that I have found on this resource was: “(I thought Logos' Search was supposed to do away with all need for concordances?)”
Now someone must have thought that this was worth adding to the Logos Library.
Would someone please explain why we need a concordance in Logos 4
and what value this one adds.
Thanks

While I personally ordered the Olive Tree KJV Concordance, that resource is a quick way to see a list of the verses and the Strong number, allowing you to see when a greek or hebrew word is the same. With this resource I can not understand the value of it, i mean if the only RSV available on Logos was the none catholic edition i suppose i could see the value of having it, but owning the catholic edition of the RSV in logos I cannot see the value myself. even the OTKC is limited value since you can turn on the strongs numbers to visible superscripted numbers to check out the word behind the word… Does anyone see the value here other than not needing to run the search and Logos handles searches fairly quickly so no sure what value this would offer.

PS:Maybe it makes someone feel good to see they have a concordance in their library.

I sent an e-mail to Logos and got an answer from Lou:
"It
was licensed with a bundle of Emmaus Road titles, so it was posted with
those. I agree that it’s pretty much redundant with Logos search
functionality.
We do have
other concordances in the system though (even in the base packages).
Perhaps we have users that, for some reason, prefer to be able to
browse words in this format."Mac Pro (late 2013) OS 12.6.2
