Logos 4.6 update crashes continuously on Windows 8 Release Preview

Logos was working fine on Windows 8 Release Preview until 4.6 update. It crashes every time before it gets open. Attached are the log files. Any ideas?

Welcome Rick
I don;t think this is related to W8 as it looks like you have a corrupt Guide in your layout. Try starting L4 with CTRL key held and choose Blank Layout. Try loading an earlier layout or start one from scratch.
Logs indicate you are running 4.5c and the crash first occurred on 2 Sept, but no mention of v4.6. You could update when this problem is fixed.
EDIT: As I encountered a similar error with 4,5c and not 4.6, I suggest using this weblink to update to v4.6 as this will likely resolve the issue.

Thanks, Dave. I just downloaded and installed 4.6 Service Release 1 (4.60.0.2993), and it now boots fine. I'll take a look at the guides and see if I see anything. Logos is the best thing since sliced bread!

I too have this problem, (similar, in that I cannot install the update) but when I try to install logos update, and your link, I get an error message "Error writing to file C:\user\"name"\Appdata\local\logos4\.exe.mui" Verify that you have access to that directory.
Any ideas?
EDIT** Regarding the weblink above to Logos4...will that reinstall over my existing logos WITHOUT changing any of my layouts (just installing 4.6), or is this a "reinstall" of the program, thus wiping things out...sorry, just want to be sure NOT to loose my layouts! [:)]

For what it's worth, I have been running Logos 4.6 on the Windows 8 release version for well over a week with absolutely no problems. It's possible the issue is in using the pre-released version of Windows 8.

Your layouts should be safe.

Thank you...however, I still cannot install this either...I get the same error message. Guess I will be sticking with 4.5c!
