You're right Gerald. And welcome to the forums!

On my Logos4 after a purchase and turning on the internet access with a restart, it just sits there for a while. Then it starts indexing. Huh? After a while it stops indexing and downloads 'an update' usually. Eventually I look in the library and it's there. Typically 30 minutes or so total but people sometimes wait quite a few hours and even have to call Logos.

Pretty intuitive compared to my Libronix (previous Logos version) where I hit the 'unlock' button on my order and in 15 seconds or less I'm in business enjoying my purchase.

I also am loading up Libronix modules that I bought so they can be moved to Logos 4. Yet no progress yet on the move to Logos. Just be patient?

Well, since you're an experienced user, you know to have sync'ed Libronix. Plus your customer ID for Libronix needs to match Logos4. If they're different you're better off calling customer service due to Libronix challenges in fixing the ID.

And you also probably know older resources from L2 may not download but should be 'discovered' from your Libronix by Logos4.

Outside of these issues, it SHOULD be almost instantaneous.

FWIW I timed this yesterday with the two new Vyrso Freebies: Order in Vyrso, received email confirmation instantly, used Update Now, it showed "Updates found will be downloaded" from within Logos and "downloading 2.3 MB" from the system tray. Then the L4 Ready for Restart notice. This all took exactly five minutes. This is a typical experience for me when buying books or when synchronizing new L3 licences up to Logos and waiting for L4 to download the respective stuff.

My restarting Logos "Preparing...." until L4 was up and showing my layout (while starting indexing in the background): fifteen minutes. So in total it was 20 minutes until I had my two books, but most of it was taken by my slow PC. And this wasn't a big package or so. The L4 time "Preparing..." varies considerably for me.

Ah ... NB.Mick ... you must have taken a course in apologetics! Blame it on your sweet tireless PC that's stood behind you for years, never once complaining about all the 'indexing' you're doing.

But I suspect a lot of the timing delays have to do with the servers (location, etc). I almost never get a straight 'hit' from Logos4. But since I'm already reading the book in L3, making highlights, etc, Logos4 taking its ever-loving-time is fine.
