Logos 5.0 Alpha 3 (5.00.0.1100) available

Logos 5.0 Alpha 3 (5.00.0.1100) is available for testing.
All of the Beta Testing Warnings apply to Alpha releases. In addition, please be aware that certain tools and features may not be fully functional or available at this time.
Also, remember that is it Friday, and most developers don't work on weekends. Install judiciously.
Install Logos 5.0 Alpha 3 using the appropriate link:
Release notes for Alpha three are available on the Logos 5 wiki. Because of the Alpha nature of this build, the Known Issues section should not be considered comprehensive, but rather extremely selective.

Great news. Can't wait to see the changes and new tools. Downloading .NET 4.5 now.

The Logos 5 installer should download this automatically if you don't already have it; you shouldn't need to manually install it first.

ditto, but I don't know that I'll be able to stay up and play much with it. I have a long day tomorrow.
FWIW the installer did initiate the .net install.

Do you want us to post comments/problems or is it too early?
It installed fine to me - looks pretty responsive! I tried Topic Guide and nothing happened, I tried Sermon Guide, typed in one of the first John pericopes in the list like John 1:10-18 or something, and it crashed.
All me resources are there, fine.

Yes, your feedback is welcome. We know that there are still a lot of rough edges (and we haven't documented everything that's broken in "Known Issues") but it's helpful for us to get reports from you when something's broken/crashing.
Incomplete data or completely blank panels generally indicate something we're still working on (and we probably already know about it). A crash usually indicates something we didn't expect, so it's good if you can let us know if the app crashes (with log files).

Taking the plunge...Logos for iPad is good enough that I'm willing to risk my main machine in an alpha release on a Friday.

Great to see it. Well, I am not able to install. I run Windows 8 and Logos 5 installer says I need NET 4.5 and when I try to install NET 4.5 it says it is part of the system. No way to get around. So I am stuck for now. Bradley, do you have any solution?
P.S. First problem was it did not install in a Standard Win8 account. I had to change it to Administrator.

On Windows 7 - separate user account on the same computer - .NET fails after installer asks for administrator password.
Edit/Update: Successfully loaded .NET 4.5 from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/confirmation.aspx?id=30653
I changed the account to an administrator account but received the message "Setup was unable to download a required file". Starting to look like it won't happen tonight.FINALLY: a reboot etc. etc. I'm finally up ... and crashing just like the rest of you.[:D][B][Y]

I will wait until after the weekend . . . if I can resist temptation until then. [;)]

Currently resisting temptation; caveat: Logos 5 alpha is providing motivation to complete my Mac OS X file reorganization/consolidation so can repartition the internal 1 TB drive in my 27" iMac (initially for Mountain Lion installation), which will include a fast partition for Logos use.

If it's any consolation my home broadband has been down for about 48 hours with no sign of an imminent fix. I'm stuck with slow browsing via my mobile, and downloading L5 is not an option.
This is my personal Faithlife account. On 1 March 2022, I started working for Faithlife, and have a new 'official' user account. Posts on this account shouldn't be taken as official Faithlife views!

Thanks, downloaded .NET 4.5 as a standard user, then opened a command prompt as administrator to run .NET 4.5 Full Setup, which needed a restart to complete installation.
Logos 5.0 Alpha 3.0 still would not install as a standard user on Windows 7.
