I get the above error message: Installer cannot download a required file.

Run the L5 installer. THE PROBLEM IS GONE.

Summary: L5 Alpha 3 will not install on a non admin account.

Installing on my wife's Vista notebook worked fine. Already downloading. I tried scan command but scan apparently doesn't work in Logos 5.

On my Win 8 notebook I am stuck because of NET 4.5 (as I wrote in another thread).

I used that for the resources during installation.

With a valid path the whole command appears under a heading of Tools, but you have to restart L5!

Hmmm... the path was OK, I restarted Logos 5 but no go. The Resources folder was on the external disk, if that may be the cause.

Summary: L5 Alpha 3 will not install on a non admin account.

Concur L5 Alpha 3 currently does not install for a standard user on Windows 7.

Did a custom install as administrative user (unchecked Automatically Download Updates), then closed sign-in dialog.

Switched back to standard user to run LogosSetup.exe for Logos 5 Alpha 3, which downloaded 45 MB. Noticed Logos 5 Setup for administrative user had typical and custom choices for initial install. In contrast, my standard user only had "Install" option. The installer text could inform user that previous Logos 4 installation at location (e.g. F:\Xairete\Logos4) will be upgraded to Logos 5:

After Logos 5 installed, noticed resource download of 14.6 MB.

Concur L5 Alpha 3 currently does not install for a standard user on Windows 7.

This issue appears resolved in Alpha 4. Please let us know if you continue to experience this problem.
