64-bit Windows version of Logos 4?

I noticed while reinstalling Logos 4 on my laptop with Windows 8 Customer Preview (64-bit) that the Logos 4 Scholar's package I have is 32-bit. Of course it works just fine but is there a 64-bit version? Maybe it would be able too access more memory and work faster is what I'm thinking.

There is no 64 bit version, nor has there been any public announcements about moving towards such.

No fears here. Actually, the software engine is free, so if a 64 bit version came out, you would just download and install it. When you purchased Logos, you were purchasing a collection of resources which will move with you as the software advances.

Would a 64bit version be faster? If so, consider this a request. My number 1 complaint about Logos is speed. I'd like to see it faster. I have a reasonably fast new laptop.

Do you have a HDD or SSD? The biggest improvement you will see in Logos is by moving to a Solid State Drive.

As Josh said, a 64-bit version would not necessarily be faster but it has potential to be. And 32-bit has a broader compatibility since it will work on both 64-bit and 32-bit systems and I'm sure Logos development staff realizes that. Non techies might download the wrong version.

I just put in an SSD in my laptop and it speeds up most everything noticeably but Logos still takes quite a bit of time to load. Part of that is establishing a connection with the website which is kind of a fixed quantity when you already have high speed internet. Logos is pretty quick though on the SSD when it's already loaded and you're just using the software. SSD prices have recently come down. I think it's because conventional hard disk prices have started to come down now that Western Digital's flooded Thailand production facilities are getting back online.

Maybe someone here on the Logos 4 Windows forum can answer my questions? I have an additional question that has got to do with wear: My operative system is in Swedish so I'm not sure what this is called in English, but when I want to take a pause I can choose between the options power-save mode, to turn off the computer, or hibernate it. Where do I change the setting to make Windows put the hibernation-files on the -drive instead of the C: -drive? My laptop CPU is the AMD 3450M APU, a newer AMD processor with four cores and a turbo boost mode as well as having the GPU integrated into the CPU. My desktop uses the AMD 960T.

Help me out here. I need some clarification. "Wear"? Do you mean "where"? "Wear" refers to deterioration with use. "Where" refers to location. English can be terribly confusing because of all the words that are spelled the same but have very different meanings in context and because, as in this case, of all the words that are pronounced exactly the same but are spelled differently and mean something entirely different.

Also, I'm a little confused by your user name, "Unix" but I assume by your question you have formatted both C and D in Windows and not in Ubuntu or some Unix variant. And if so, what version of Windows? Windows 7? Windows 8 Consumer Preview?

I don't have an answer right off the top of my head about changing the storage location of your hibernation files but I wonder if this is not a Windows function but is accomplished through some third party utility provided by your laptop manufacturer. I could be way off base, though.
