How to change font typeface on iPad?

I recently purchased the Revised Chinese Union Version of the bible. It gives a bold/ thick type of fonts which is not pleasant in reading (esp if using iPhone). In the previous old version of Chinese Union Version, it gives a more thin and narrow type of fonts. (Please see attached jpg for easy explanation. 

Please note that this DOES NOT happened when using a normal PC.
