Ongoing annoyance with home page

I was hoping that Logos 5 would believe me and only show the devotionals I request. No, Logos still thinks it knows better than I what I want to read. Morning & Evening and Connect the Testaments are NOT on my to do list. Maybe reporting it as a bug will be more effective than requesting a feature change/correction. Stick out tongue

Second the motion. This became so irritating that I removed devotionals from my Home Page.

Is the issue that it dosn't show your devotionals, or that it also shows Morning and Evening?

The logic is that it shows "top-ranked" devotionals; your prioritization should put these ahead, assuming they are indexed on calendar days, too. But it would be a bit "mysterious", I think, if we showed two devotionals, and then once you prioritized a single devotional, we only showed it and none others. That's not "prioritizing" that's replacing, and different than what prioritizing does, which is to simply re-rank.

We wanted to avoid having to make a separate "choose devotionals" UI; the hope was that prioritization would push down whatever you didn't want.

I think this is a fine approach it I could get them pushed down to "out of sight, out of mind".

I have three devotionals prioritized in my main application. They show up correctly. I think its fine to have defaults if I haven't prioritized any devotionals. I think if I have prioritized devotionals, those are the only devotionals that should show. I see your point regarding prioritize vs. replace but there needs to be some way to turn off default devotionals without turning off the devotionals one wants.
