I haven't examined the code, but from memory, it selects a variety of different translations (so that the same word doesn't appear in the center column repeatedly).

What! I can't trick you into revealing trade secrets.[:O] Seriously, I've wondered about it in L4 as well. It's the type of question I like to be able to answer if I'm teaching someone else how to use Logos. But the again, not being able to get definitions for the literary types also drivers me nuts.
