I am using Logos 4 on Fusion 2 on Snow Leopard, response is very sluggish.
Any ideas how to tweak Fusion to improve things?
thanks

In your VM machine settings, switch off graphics acceleration. Also, if you can allocate it, give your machine 2GB of RAM.
Then, in you Windows video settings, go turn graphics acceleration under the trouble shooting tab of your video settings all the way down one notch above "off".
Hopefully this will help. If you can afford it, the upgrade to VMware 3.0 is even faster, particularly with newly created virtual machines, though many on here have reported good results with VMware 2.0.

I am having good results with Fusion 2, but I am on OS 10.5.8 not Snow Leopard, (I live in the SE US, we don't see much snow[:D])
Thanks Donovan. Settings changes helped a lot!
I read in another thread that Logos has tested both VMware and Parallels and found Parallels 5 out performed VMware. The trial is free in the event any one is interested. I went from Parallels 3 to 5 and noticed a significant speed difference. I know that Parallels 4 drop was a disaster and is probably the reason most of you are using fusion but it may be worth a try.

That is when I left Parallels for Fusion. Actually, I hope that this will soon be moot. I can endure Windows for a few more months [8-|].
Thanks John. I may check this out at some point. Like Jack, I would love to retire Fusion as Logos is the only thing I am keeping it for now... but if there are some unforeseen bumps in the the Logos for Mac development road, I'm always looking for speedier options!
Hi,
I am using Fusion 2.0 too. I am considering to upgrade to Fusion 3.0 o switch to Parallels 5.0. Anybody knows the steps of switching?
Scott
With the Fusion upgrade, you just install the program. If you want all the speed benefits of Fusion 3.0 though, you need to install Windows again in a new VM Machine. You can keep your old one and it works just fine, but the new one is optimised to work with version 3.0
Don't know about the jump to Parallels. Like I said, I am really hoping to retire my virtual machine software soon! :-)
Parallels 5 does not require a new VM, however there has been some talk about Win 7 being faster than XP... I am looking forward to Logos for Mac. i will still have a few windows programs, but will probably never upgrade past XP.
That seems to have improved it a bit, thanks!
