I use L5 under another user account on the same machine.
I attempted to use L4 after the crash by opening to a blank layout. It crashes at the very start of syncing.

L4 is unusable. Any suggestions would be helpful. Have never seen the crash indicated in the crash logs.
Looks like it's related to one of the new guides. It's also possible that old guides you imported into L5 may be to blame - but I wouldn't know for sure. Can you delete the new guides you created in L5 (if you don't need them), let syncing finish, and try again?

Well I think I deleted in L5 the only two layouts I had opened in L5, but the error remains. If you are correct then I must have opened another layout but don't recall which one.
Mark, I'm only guessing, since the Error detail said: "InvalidOperationException: kind is not a valid GuideKeyKind."
It's possible than when L5 imported your saved guides from L4, that it converted them to include the knew GuideKeyKind automatically. I don't know.
It's also possible that the sync mechanism at the Logos server level, hasn't yet deleted the L5 guides.
It's also possible, that L4 already downloaded the new guide, and keeps crashing when it tries to incorporate it into its mechanism.
Bottom line: this isn't solvable without a tech stepping in and providing a solution that doesn't kill all your guides, or telling us what the issue really is (if it's not a guide that's causing the issue - these logs are a bit esoteric).
It looks to me (and I can read logs just well enought to be dangerous that a guide(s) were created in L5 that L4 does not have yet (I would think that is a topic or sermon guide).
There has got to be a db that contains the problem in L4 you could delete that would be updated when you start L4; after cleaning up the guides and layouts in L5.
I would not do that n my advice though. I'd be very afraid of doing that based soley on my advice[;)]
That could be since I did create a couple of copies of different guides in L5, including a sermon starter guide. I don't recall messing with the topic guide.
I think as Richard and you have suggested this needs a little more expertise applied to it.
I can still use L5 so I am not without recourse. (Sounds funny to have the beta alpha version be my 'backup' version.)

Hopefully, the iPad app isn't affected. I will really be yelling if that occurs.
BTW: being a L5 beta tester has its risks, but no one said it would wipe out L4. So this is an extra appeal to get this fixed.

That did it. I deleted two custom sermon starter guides and L4 now loads properly. Thanks again, Dave.
