Logos likes Spanish better than English. :-)

So I download the Logos app. It doesn't work. Keeps saying something about books not being able to load. I delete the app.

It occurs to me to check if there are Spanish Bible apps. Of course, there are. One of them is a Logos Biblia app. So I download that app. And guess what: the Spanish app loads all my resources just fine! So Logos likes Spanish. Too funny.

What is also interesting to me is that I can't get a Spanish Bible for free on my PC but I got it on my iPhone. Go figure. :-)

    Welcome Luis! [:)]

It is true that Logos has licensing agreements for some resources which allows for online access via mobile or biblia at no cost. You do not actually own those resources and consequently, you cannot download them. As long as you are connected to the internet, they should be viewable.

    Are the versions the same?

Luis - Which resources are you having downloading? Were you using the same internet connection when you tried both apps? Was it roughly at the same time?

OK, folks. I'm still trying to figure out the forum. Forgive the repeated replies of "Thank you". I'm sure I'll get this. It can't be that much different from other forums. :-)

alabama, I wish I could answer the question about versions. Do you mean the versions of Logos Bible vs. Logos Biblia?

Yes, that is what I meant… However, I checked the app store and they are both current. From your first post, I take it you downloaded the apps today?

Sometimes there are troubles on the Logos servers. There is, however, a current bug causing some users difficulties (but I have not experienced it). Sometimes users also find that different internet connections make a difference. One forum friend of mine always had problems at the hospital he worked at. He could download books at the local coffee place.

alabama24, when I clicked on the Logos app to start it up, after the blue Logos screen, it simply showed a gray screen with four sylized darker gray/black arrows pointing from the four sides toward the middle. I suppose they are gesture directions. Anyway, then a screen pops up saying it can't load the books. The screen disappears and then shows up again. This reiterates ad infinitum. I even left it for a while doing this thinking it was just some of the resources or something. Nope. But then when the Spanish Logos Biblia app loaded, it showed me a Spanish Bible and at a subsequent use, all other resources showed nicely as available. So I know what it's supposed to work like. I've decided to settle with just using the Spanish Bible and the Spanish interface. I need the practice in Spanish anyway. :-)

Hi, alabama24. No, I had downloaded these days ago. Both from home through wifi. But one app works and the other doesn't. I've tried deleting and redownloading. I've deleted again and downloaded through the iTunes store. Nada. I'm good. I'll just use it as is. Besides, it's only for occasional use on the iPhone. Screen ain't dat big. :-)

It sounds like you may be experiencing the bug that some other users have been experiencing. 3.0.3 should resolve the problem, but it may be several weeks before it hits the App Store.

Hi, Tommy. The Logos app simply starts calling books and can't open them. And it continues attempting to do so as if in a loop. No resource is named ever.
