default setting in "notes"

I love to make notes as I read. My "add notes" is stuck on bold. While I can change the setting of the font, it remains automatically on bold. I prefer that it would be off bold as default. (I can easily switch to regular type each time I make a note, but I would rather it be set on regular as the default setting.)
