floating window opens too low -- cannot see bottom

I have Logos open on my secondary monitor because it is bigger than my laptop monitor.  Whenever I open a floating window, it opens on my laptop monitor but the bottom of the floating window is not visible.  I have to move the floating window up to see all the contents.  How can I fix this so this extra step is not needed?  (In windows display control panel I have my secondary monitor to the right of the main monitor.)

Others may know better, but try to have them at the same vertical resolution.

Presumably the second monitor has a higher vertical resolution than the laptop monitor, in your display properties are the tops of the monitors aligned or the bottom? You could try changing that for a start...
