mark as owned in the store

Most of the time a book I own is greyed out in the store so I can't buy it again. this is a good thing. but, it is not a flawless system. I just noticed a book that I own that is NOT greyed out.

This was a problem early on, but I have not run into a situation in quite a while. I think there is something else going on... I believe that Logos has misidentified the Vyrso product, which is actually a journal and NOT the devotional book. Read the fine print for the journal link below.

does it really include writing space? I.e. fillable boxes (never seen those in vyrso books)?

Then I misunderstood your post about "seeing Journal in the title" above - I also have "only" the Logos book (marks grey button on Logos.com) and I don't think I'll acquire a Journal from Vyrso. But since Vyrso should resemble the offering of a Christian bookstore, I have an idea just half a step further: blankbooks are selling well, I hear...

I have noticed the same issue with the NET bible. I own this, and it is part of a base package, however, it is not grayed out on the Logos site. Anyone else notice this?

Okay, maybe they react fast on Alabama's emails. (Hm. Deep & Wide still doesn't show on biblia.com....). When I clicked first on Alabama's links, the Vyrso page had "Journal" in the title and the Logos page had not.

It still talks about the writing space - and shouldn't the reference to "Grace for the Moment" (i.e. Lucado's book) be a link to its Logos.com page?

I spend a lot of my time on computers with no L4 installed and I don't have a tablet device (yet: looking forward to my Kindle Fire on Oct.25th - I buy too much books to be able to afford Apple products).

The other thing is: Links in Community notes only work when copied from biblia.com's sharing dialog, sharing from a resource will result in a biblia.com-link and the other way round: every resource link shared on Faithlife will link to biblia.com, not to L4. Thus I find myself having biblia.com nearly constantly open on my Logos4-PC as well.

Actually I find I like it for reading/looking up: the resource search (biblia.com has 97% of my library) from the dropdown is much faster than opening the library in L4, the two-pane view is great for reading bible and commentary, or FSB and the referenced encyclopedias. Of course there are some shortcomings, e.g. that they didn't fully develop the Community Notes on biblia.

I almost purchased this book. http://vyrso.com/product/10982/chronicles-of-the-cross it is a compilation of 3 books. What a deal 3 for the price of 1. Only thing is, as I looked into it, I find I already have all three. I'd like to be able to mark this so I am not tempted to buy it in the future.

In the past it was clear to everybody that Vyrso books work on all platforms. I just checked all of my books from this source (http://vyrso.com/products/search?q=&unlocked=yes&sort=pricelo&pageSize=15&Publisher=Zondervan - luckily most were free) and found them unavailable in biblia. But now I understand that in course of the NIV84 desaster Logos did implement something for this publisher that wasn't there: they differentiate licences between apps and biblia.

On Logos.com they have this symbols for PC and Mac (don't know if there is a differentiation at all - even the "L3 only" addins have a Mac symbol, which is correct only insofar as the functionality bought for L3 will be activated for L4 as well, which is a good thing, but which the site keeps to itself) and then a symbol that looks like a smartphone. The mouse-over text says "iPad, iPhone, Android" (i.e. "app") but the product selector is Platform=Internet . Interesting enough, this selector works as well on Vyrso http://vyrso.com/products/search?q=&unlocked=yes&sort=pricelo&pageSize=15&Platform=Internet and calls itself "iPhone/web", but shows also the books which are not available on the Web.

Since the Vyrso main page states "Vyrso books also work on biblia.com", in the sake of honesty someone should put a box into the 1274 product pages "Unlike books from other publishers, this resource will currently not work on biblia.com".

Since Logos differentiate their licences between platforms they should give us the ability to select accordingly:

on Logos.com, show a biblia.com logo for internet-enabled resources (if it's a space issue, the PC/Mac logos could be replaced by one showing a notebook or keyboard and monitor)
change selector Platform=Internet to Platform=Apps and make a new one Platform=Biblia (I assume this would run on Logos.com and Vyrso.com)

I'd rather see Logos to have the licences for biblia from all publishers, or at least from all who allow app use. There is no point in differentiating this. The Logos concept of buy-once-read-on-any-platform is now followed by Amazon, B&N etc

That would be great for us to have some control of the graying process. I only have about 1300 books at this time, however, as more books are owned, the more easily it will be to make the mistake of purchasing twice. It was a blessing that you were able to catch one of yours and get a refund.

Update: It seems the people who decide over this make up their minds more often than once. Reading Z-published works on biblia has been diabled again.

The bad joke they now give us on biblia is a "403 you have no licence" error page, which helpfully tells me "You may purchase a license for that book at Logos.com." and links to the vyrso product page (greyed out button, of course).

Youtube has a black page with a sad smiley face for us German users when we want to watch music videos and then tells us: "Sorry, this content is not available in your country, because GEMA (the infamous German central music copyright holding institution) has not released the rights" (which they are debating on and off for years and not even the intervention of the CEOs of Sony and the other music labels could bring GEMA to their senses).

Thus biblia should show a black page with ": - (( you may have a licence, but not here - this book is not available on biblia.com because the publisher has not released the rights". And of yourse this needs to be in the product pages on Vyrso.
