In Logos 3, when I hovered over a "node" in the A-F phrase marker analysis, a pop-up window explained the abbreviations (e.g. app = apposition). This doesn't happen in Logos 4.
Just a small detail, but thought it may be worth sharing.
Look down the bottom left corner of the window... is it there?
There are a few other Syntax areas where popup information is lacking compared with L3, but it certainly doesn't hurt to mention your concern!
EDIT: I hadn't checked the Phrase marker analysis, but the "popup" at the bottom is missing Morphology information as with OpenText.
Is it just slow?
In the opentext..it's slow enough that if you don't keep your mouse there for a long time...you think it's broken...
EDITED TO ADD: No it's not slow in fact it's responsive. It's just in the lower left corner.
Edited a second time to add: They changed the OpenText popups too...they are just like the AF...I like them...quick, clean and you don't get blinded when they pop up like in V3..
Nicely accomplished Logos....
Man it's early!
On the Open Text clause analysis; the smaller pop up happens in the lower left corner...and the whole definition pops up eventually at the hover site.
Logos: speed this up!! [:D]
...and the whole definition pops up eventually at the hover site.
I would never have left the mouse there long enough to notice that! [:)]
Let's just say that it is all over the place! - there is no true popup on the manuscript word.
John,
you're right! Sorry, didn't notice that.
Though, as Robert indicated, Logos 4 has dramatically slowed down my entire computer.
Philip....
whoa!...I don't want the men with the torches to come after me...I have enough heat on me for things I actually DID say! [:O]
I just meant that the popups for the morph info and definitions are very slow...not the whole of Logos or my laptop...
just a clarification brother....
Sorry Robert, I was a bit hasty.
no problemo
