Ipad 2 or 3? How many GB to I need?

I am considering buying an ipad mainly for use with the Logos app, reading books and to use Powerpoint in teaching Sunday school. I am wondering if the ipad 3 is really worth the extra money or is the ipad 2 sufficient since it is much more affordable. I also would like to know if the 16 GB has sufficient storage space or should I get the 32 or 64 GB.

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I waited for the iPad 3 because I wanted the crisper text for reading. I found the resolution of the iPad 2 insufficient, and the Retina display on the new iPad is much better for text. I would suggest you try them out for yourself to be sure.

16 GB is fine if you only plan on using it for Logos. If you have other uses in mind then you may or may not need a larger version. I have 680 resources downloaded and Logos takes 3GB of space on my 32GB iPad. Other folks only download the books they're currently reading -- which would require very little space. I have filled up most of the rest of my iPad's space with other apps and with music.

Bob - I concur with Todd. I dont have an iPad 3, but I do have an iPhone 4s. The retina display is well worth it. As for the size of the HD... Bigger is always better... I do not, however, recommend downloading large portions of your library unless absolutely needed because you are often out of wifi range. Even though you think you will use the iPad primarily for Logos, you will find many more uses which will take up space.

Bob, I had an iPad 1 with 64 GB, but had to move up to an. IPad 3 due to my 70 year old eyes and large number of resources. If you have less than 1,000 resources the 16 GB should be okay, but you will need to keep the number of extra programs low.

The iPad3 is a must. The screen is so much nicer for reading and does make a difference. 16GB is sufficient if that is all you can afford, but I really would recommend at least 32 GB or else you'll be constantly fighting for space.
If all you will use it for is Logos, reading, and powerpoint 16GB is sufficient but I bet you'll use it for a bit more than that and wish that you had jumped for a larger size.

Question: Can more gigs be added later? If not maybe 64 would be the best number. Depending on price
