Academic discount downgrade?
I'm in the academic discount program and before I always got 50 percent on basepackages. But I looked today and now it is 30 or 25 percent.

I purchased a year ago under the academic discount and it was only 30 percent at that time. I don't know how far back you are thinking of or what the discounts may be have been before last year.

Things may have changed but it used to be that all books in the Academic pricing had a discounted price but that books that were REQUIRED for a class had a special link that could be provided by your prof that would be a 50% discount (if the publisher allowed it).

I think it was 30% two years ago for students, something like 40% for academic staff, and 50% for faculty members. I didn't do any calculations, but my rough estimation is that it is about the same for me now (student).
