Here's a suggestion. Only in a very few places can you click on a bible passage in the home page and have it open a bible. Could they all be hyperlinked? And could there be a way to view one of those articles along side an open bible?
Makes sense to me. It sure seems like at the least a retagger like script could be added. Of course I have no clue how things like this actually work :-)
tim,
I'm not quite sure what you're asking for.
on my homepage, when I click a "non biblical reference" it opens up the reference AND a bible to the appropriate passage.
When i click a bible excerpt...it opens up the same set of resources as a "daily bible reading" would.
Can you help me understand what you're asking for?
Tim is asking that al bible references in the excerpts be hyperlinks:
This is more than possible. They accidently turned it on for a couple of days in the Beta and then quickly shut it off again.
Oooh.... I found one from that fleeting moment when the home page was alive and kicking....
Maybe there is something wrong with mine but most of the bible references in the home page cannot be opened. They are just plain text. When you click on them they do nothing.
The links in the header where the title of the article is are clickable but the links in the actual body of text are not.
Tim,
The second image I showed was from the time of Beta testing. If the links are not hot-clickable on your install, then that is normal.
What I was demonstrating is that the technology is there to make this happen as we had it for about 2 days during the Beta period.
I too would like Logos to flick the switch and make these links hot.
Everyone,
I'm encouraged that the concern I had, is not just me, others have seen it. It is a bit less than encouraging to note that everyone wrote 1.5 months ago and there is no resolution on this thread.
Has anyone found the answer to make the hyperlinks work or if they will one day be made to work?
Moderator - please help.
Thank you very much as this would help as I stumble forward with L4. I LOVE it and have been a Logos fan for many years.
Allen
To the best of my knowledge, there is no moderator. Perhaps a Logos employee will read and answer.
