How could they not have this time saving tool in Logos 4?
Dynamic verse insertion? I don't remember this in L3, what does it do?
DVI was what it was called in L2 (L1?). Since version 3 it's called CBV (Copy Bible Verse).
The CBV module is integrated into the L4 interface as a tool. There is talk of putting it back in the system tray and restoring some of the functionality this gave with macros, etc. '
In the mean time, for some things, like copy/pasting long lists of verses, I've gone back to L3. For copying one verse at a time, the CBV in L4 works just fine.
I too have to use L3 when copying many verses.
I knew there'd be some time on the "learning curve", but to not include something that helpful, this really slows things down! CBV seems much more 'clunky' than the old DVI.
[Y] Could they not do both?
Have the option to place it or not place it on the tool bar (toggle).

I do the same as Richard: [Y] I also use both libronix and logos4 at the same time when inserting many verses into a document.
I've never seen it as cluncky, at least not since the first days. As long as Logos is open I can hit CTRL+ALT+B in any program, type the reference, and get the formatting I want in no time. I use it all the time during worship committee as it is much quicker for looking up verses then any other method I can think of.

Can't you use passage lists for this?

Mark, the above post was almost 2 years ago. Logos has come a long way since then. The current CBV handles multiple, non-contiguos verses much better now than before, and we now have passage lists working as expected.
Let me add that I never use L3 anymore for anything. The L4 CBV is better and faster than the L3 CBV or the L2 DVI. Put that together with smart tags (in MS Word) now working, and there's no reason to look back at L3 for getting verses into documents.
