New Install

My Hard drive went bad and I re-installed logos4 and I am missing 7 resources. Not sure what they are just yet, but was wondering if anyone could shed light on this. I've used "update resources" and "update now" - restarted software, and still missing 7. Indexing is completed. Any ideas?

Were these resources you had in L3 or did you do a crossgrade with L4? If they were in L3, have you tried synchronizing your licenses in L3 with Logos? If they are new to L4 you may need to speak to a technician at Logos regarding this. In fact, you probably will need to do so in any case.

I just realized that you said your HD went bad. Try reinstalling L3 (hope you have a license backup). After you do that, try synchronizing L3 licenses then update L4.

John, you did not give us enough information to help you. Do you know what resources are missing? Are you sure they are not just Help files from the older versions? In the first install of V4 on the computer having L3, it got all of them to L4. But now you did fresh install from the servers, so it might not include those files into your new L4 installation. How did you get your new resources? By download? Or from the DVD? or from the backup?

Thank you for your help. This is what I did (and after letting it sit for a half a day, they showed up).

Installed new HD
Installed l4 from DVD (The original install was from a Download with L3 installed at the same time. L3 is not installed on new hard drive)
Addition 3GB of resources to download.
Indexed
Copied all resources from L4 on old hard drive to new hard drive to resources folder
Scan new resource location on new hard drive
Let it sit for about 4 hours
All 1930 resources are showing up.

Yes. This is it. I think that I am going to make a DVD of my resources now so that I don't have to download them for future installs.
