Opened a simple layout, but then L5 displayed the pretty colored pinwheel @ 12:12:42.

The log shows no activity for a full six minutes, then a flurry of entries until 12:19:18 and then no activity. In all this time, the pinwheel continues to spin.

Activity Monitor show one core @ 100% with RAM use @ 1.14 GB.

The pinwheel continues to spin @ 12:26:30 and the log is still silent at 12:19:18

Restarted the Mac and L5. Opened the same simple layout which contains BHS and Byz in one panel. With BHS in front, clicked Byz. It took a full two minutes before the Byz resource became active. Along the way, received the following strange display:

This was approximately one minute after clicking on Byz. 

Overall, I am finding L5 Mac operation to be very erratic. Sometimes much more responsive than L4 Mac ever was. At other times it can be so unresponsive as to border on useless.

Memory use continually increases during the problems described in this thread. Perhaps that is some clue.

Typed Cmd-Q and was rewarded with the pinwheel, but L5 did not quit. Force Quit from Activity Monitor.
