I have quite an extensive library, I did a Basic proximity search of my entire library and it took 19.97 seconds to give me 0 hits. Is this normal?
What did you search for? It depends on how complicated the search. If you have a large library and do some searches, you can get 0 results and it take some time. I can do a search for a Greek morphology that isn't used anywhere in my library and it will take some time.
I did a proximity search of "generation WITHIN 10 WORDS know" I did this under basic and got 0 hits?
Jeffery - can you give a screen shot? That will help us diagnose better. [:)]
problem solved! I needed to put my key words need to be in quotes. So now it works! Thanks
You shouldn't need to put it in quotes. Something went wrong earlier… either a typo or another issue. If you try it again without the quotes and it doesn't work, post a screen shot.
It's possible that in his first search attempt Jeffery put quotes around the entire search phrase (ie before the word generation and after the word know) which would return zero results.
If he doesn't use quotes at all, or if he puts quotes before and after the two words he's searching for (generation and know), he should get the right results.
