If you are not yet using the Command Box (next to Tools menu), give it a try.
Once you become familiar with your library, this thing is seriously useful.
Perhaps others can add examples of how they use this feature too.
Here are the kinds of things I often do:
esv -- open the English Standard Version bible.
nlt to Psa 19 1 -- open the New Living Translation to Psalm 19:1
nrsv to sir 51 8 -- open the New Revised Standard Version to Sirach 51:8 (Apocrypha)
lxx to ex 20 -- open the Septuagint to Exodus 20
isbe to Jerusalem -- open the International Standard Bible Encyclopedia to the article on 'Jerusalem.'
coed to sapiential -- look up the Compact Oxford English Dictionary entry on 'sapiential.'
carson to Jn 11 1 -- open the commentary by D A Carson on John's gospel, to John 11:1
131 christians to Anselm -- open 131 Christians Everyone Should Know to the article on Anselm.
jets 53 -- open the Journal of Evangelical Theological Society Volume 53.
piper -- open the book by John Piper, to the page you were up to.
piper to 25 -- open the John Piper book to page 25.
institutes in new window -- open Institutes of Religion (John Calvin) in a floating window
biblical places to ephesus -- open a map showing Ephesus.
projector -- load the Layout you saved with the name "projector."
open articles -- open my Notes file named "Articles."
update now -- tell Logos 4 to find the book I just bought, and download it.
