Reading Plan Crash on original iPad running iOS 5.1.1

I am running the latest iteration of Logos for iOS on an original iPad running iOS 5.1.1. After upgrading Logos I noticed that I am having problems with the reading plan. My plan loads and syncs correctly and I can read the first plan. The problem occurs when I get to the end of that days reading and try to read the next section. When I click the link where I'm finished and it resets to the next reading the screen goes completely black. The only way out of the black screen is to click the Home button, whereby it exits out of the program and goes back to my home screen. If I go right back into Logos, it goes back to the black screen. If I double click the Home button to bring up my open/recent apps and manually close out/stop Logos from running and go back into Logos it brings up the program as normal. When I try to go into the reading plan, however, it crashes back to the black screen. I then went in to Logos on my iPhone 5 running iOS 6, pulled up the reading plan-no problem-. When I went back into Logos on iPad it worked, but repeated the problem.

Jason - I would try deleting and reinstalling the app. NOTE: you will lose your downloaded resources.

One thing I would try before reinstalling Logos is to close all programs, power down the device, and turn it back on:

(1) Close all programs by pressing the home button twice, then tapping and holding on an item in the menu that comes up until you get the little minus (-) signs and click on the minus (-) sign for all the programs to close them. *NOTE* - IMPORTANT, this is not the little X sign that comes up which would mean deleting the programs. You just want to close them.

(2) Power down the iPad by holding the power button on the top until the slider appears to turn off the device. Slide it to turn it off and wait a few seconds.

(3) Turn the device back on by pressing the power button again. If nothing happens, try pressing and holding the power button and the home button simultaneously until the iPad turns back on.

Then try Logos again and see if anything has improved.
