Merging two highlighter note sets?

I renamed the default highlighter pens on my computer and little did I know by doing so every highlight that I made on my phone would be sent to the original, thus creating two separate lists.

This has made it very difficult to actually find my highlighted passages without combing through both of the lists. Is there any way to combine them? I already tried renaming and that didn't work.

First, welcome to the forums Madison! [:)]

The short answer is no. The longer answer is that you can manually merge the note files from within L4 by dragging each note from one file into the other.

Are you familiar with your highlighting palette settings? Do you know how to change where the notes are sent? Is there a reason you duplicated the pallet?

    Thanks for the welcome.

Where can I find the file to manually drag each note? Do you mean within Logos for Windows?

I am familiar with it after looking it up, I'm going to set it so they all get sent to one file from now on and no I didn't mean to duplicate it, I just renamed it and then automatically it got sent to the newly renamed one on my PC and the default one on my phone.

Okay I figured out how to drag from one file to another one by one (man is this tedious!) but Logos has crashed twice now!

    Logos has crashed twice now!

Is it still crashing? What computer are you on? Is it only when you move notes? If the crashes continue, you should create a new thread in the appropriate forum and post logs.

Can I ask about your highlighting? How much do you highlight? Do you anticipate your needs will increase? When you highlight, do you intend for there to be other notes attached, or just the visual reminder in the text? There are many strategies for note taking / highlight management… but it would be good for you to think through the issues early before you get stuck… obviously you are finding out that moving notes later can be a real headache!

Personally, I create resource specific note files for every book I use… but that is not for everybody.
