Clausal search

1. It appears that the Clause Search does not accept Boolean search strings - so I can't ask for Paul when outside of Jerusalem. I can ask for "subject:Barnabas  subject:Silas" but not "subject:Barnabas,  subject:Silas"

2. The reference (Acts 15:30) allows me to navigate to the Greek but not to the English

3. It would be very helpful to see the deixis markup directly to track down what appear to be problems ... any chance that is on the horizon?

Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

This is correct. Boolean search is not allowed in Clause. We toyed with the idea of ignoring boolean operators (such as the comma in your example) but decided that would lead to an issue when we showed the search as valid but didn't actually support the boolean nature of AND, OR, NOT, etc. In the end we decided that the confusion level would be lower by showing the search term as invalid rather than ignoring it.

This works the same way a Bible search works (search in LGNTISBL for <Lemma = lbs/el/Γαλιλαία>, add an English resource as a parallel version, click on the reference (it opens in the Greek resource). The reference is related to the resource you searched not the parallel resources you're showing.

I'm not ignoring this... but I don't have any knowledge about this.

This is correct. Boolean search is not allowed in Clause.

Clause Search may be updated to allow disjunction in a future version, but in 5.0 it will only support conjunction.
