Family trees - philosophical despite fgh's earlier stance.(or St. Jerome, for that matter)

Two separate ideas came together in my mind:

  1. fgh's earlier complaint that the family tree of Mary and Joseph showing Jesus having brothers was denominational
  2. my complaints that some of the new features go beyond a strictly literal reading of the text - ox and snake in Genesis 1 for example.

I think it would be inappropriate for Logos to modify the family tree of Mary and Joseph showing Jesus having brothers. The issue is not textual - brothers and half-brothers are not linguistically distinguished. In all cases where both parents are not specified the relationship could be either full or half-brothers. And I think this argument is sufficiently strong as to placate any who are unhappy with the diagram.
