BUG: Linking Qumran Sectarian with Dead Sea Scroll Study Edition

This is probably a very old bug that's long become hopelessly unfixable; indeed I assume there's no one on Logos' staff that's familiar with the DSS since there's other older bugs as well in the linking.

But when you click on a sectarian link in Abegg's new translation, it links correctly to the DSS-Study Edition but not Abegg's Qumran Sectarian manuscripts in Rule of the Community (1QS).

Now, you can type the reference into QSM but then the DSS-SE won't jump to the correct location.

Why is QSM important? Because it's tagged. DSS-SE isn't.

Does this work in Libronix? Yes it does. Both directions, through-out Rule of the Community and in-between.

Now frankly, absent Abegg's new translation (Logos4 only), I don't really care (since I do everything on the Libronix side). So take your time.

Can you show us an example of what you are trying to do? In version 3 or 4 is fine for a specific example, you didn't give enough detail to see if it's something you don't know how to do in version 4?

I'm not sure just how different Logos4 could be from Libronix. They both have links. They both have the two resources (DSS-SE and QSM). And they both link together correctly outside of 1QS. It's fairlly easy to see if you right-click inside DSS-SE 1QS, choose reference for the QSM format. It doesn't know about QSM. If you do the same for one of the numbered mss's, you'll see both DSS-SE and QSM lookups.

So if Logos4 has special linkage for 1QS, 1QSa, 1QSb (and others; these aren't the only ones), I'm all ears.

Right now I copy the tag over to Libronix to get some work done.

Which by the way, Abegg's 'new translation', although indeed a new translation, is a great commentary by section of the sectarian manuscripts (for anyone reading this). As far as I know, it's the only one in Logos. Really good resource.
