Crash with 4.6 SR-2 (4.60.0.3010) when changing Resource in Morph Search

I am experiencing an almost 100% reproducible (occasionally it seems I can get it to work) crash when changing the resource in the morph search tool. This makes the morph search almost completely unusable. I'd be happy to hear of any workarounds.

For example (the most recent one of many):

search for lemma:καταχράομαι in NA27 (also displaying ESV)

Then change the resource to "Logos LXX"

Momentary beach ball, then crash.

Hi,

While it did not crash in my case, I did noticed that when switching from "NA27" to "Logos LXX" it took quite a while to generate the dropdown list for the first time.

Hi John,

I'm waiting to be able to try to reproduce the behavior on my Mac but didn't have any issues on my Windows machine. Can you tell me if you can open the Logos LXX file on its own? Can you do that same search and do it with the Logos LXX file first?

The problem has to do with changing the resource being searched. I can morph search (through right-clicking on a word, for example) in any of the resources without a problem. However, if I were to do a morph search that way in, for example, NA27, and then tried to switch the resource to see where the same word was used in LXX, it would (almost always) crash. It seems to me like a UI problem of some kind.

Hi John,

I understood the problem was in the transition. I was just making sure we covered our bases and made sure that the search works directly with the LXX resource.When I went about reproducing it, because I didn't know from where in the book you started the process my process was different. Can you tell me the verse you are starting the process from, so that I can more precisely attempt to reproduce the behavior? I'm still not able to reproduce on my Mac quite yet, but I should be able to try either later today or tomorrow.

In the original post, there is no verse. Open the morph search panel, search in Logos LXX for lemma:(anything will do) and, after the search is complete, change the resource to NA27. Or vice-versa. For me it crashes ("dumps core") virtually every time.
This seems to be a UI problem. Here is the back trace.

For me it crashes ("dumps core") virtually every time.

Trying to look at a stacktrace in a web browser is a bit challenging (daunting); attaching crash report as a file would be appreciated.

An option is copying crash report to Logging folder, then compress Logging folder, and attach zip file. Logos 4 diagnostic log files provide contextual information, which is missing from an Apple crash report.

After repeating the steps I saw in LimJK's example, I was unable to reproduce the behavior on my Mac; the program did not crash nor did it even really hagn when switching between NA27 and Logos LXX. I'm using the latest public build.

I continue to try to narrow down why sometimes I can get the resource change to work without the crash. It seems that both (a) starting the morph search by right-clicking and initiating a lemma morph search (instead of opening a morph search panel and typing it in directly) and (b) selecting a resource by typing only (i.e., not using the mouse in the drop box) both seem significantly to increase the probability of the resource change working right. I wonder if perhaps this is some kind of user interface thread synchronization issue?
