Will we be able to install data from a backup taken from W7, or will it require downloading all resources?
The techniques shown in the Wiki "Quick Installation onto multiple Computers" works fine for getting Logos onto a new computer running Windows 8. Also, if you upgrade a Windows 7 to Windows 8, Logos install is preserved and still runs.
I have been running Windows 8 release-version and Logos for awhile and it runs fine!
I've been running Windows 8 for some time now (Consumer Preview and the RTM version [through TechNet subscription]), and on both I had no problems whatsoever copying over my data from my old Win 7 install.
I've used both Methods 1 and 2 to restore.
