Customization

Admittedly, I just downloaded Logos 4 today and haven't had the time to really play around with it. But I have been using Libronix for years now and love it. I will continue to use it and am sure part of my problem is just getting used to the new interface which I think is pretty slick.

Here is my problem and I am hoping there is an easy fix. When I type a passage into the quick search on the home page, it goes immediately to the passage guide. This pulls up five different windows with all kinds of resources which i may or may not find helpful. For instance, one of the windows has five different versions of the Bible each on their own tab. I can close out and choose which tabs I like and don't like but the next time I use the quick search, back come the same original five choices. I guess, what I'd like to do is customize this to my own preferences. Is there an easy way to do that or do you have to start over by creating your own guide? If the latter, is there a way to link the quick search to my custom guide?

Do take the time to watch the videos and spend as little time as you want on the wiki page (I wrote that one - it's only half-baked!)

You cannot customize what is shown after entering a passage from the Go Bar. It will always run the Passage Guide and the Exegetical Guide, show your top five bibles, open a commentary, the information window, and compare bibles tool.

You can customise which Passage Guide and Exegetical Guides are run whenever triggered by the system. You do this by naming a customised Guide "My Passage Guide" or "My Exegetical Guide"

My suggestion. Set up a customised passage guide to your liking and then setup a layout as you want it (the bibles and other resources you want). You can then load this instead of running from the Go Bar. It takes another couple of clicks but it's worth it.

I run mine and then quickly unlink all the resources so that I can scroll through them.
