Crash at end of launch Mac OS 10.8.2

I've been using with my MacBook Air with Mountain Lion for months with now issues.

Now when I go to launch the apps goes through all the normal processes (sign in, show blank page, display my layout windows). When its all done is closes the app.

I've tried the following:

Restart

Shut down and restart

Throw Logos app in the trash and empty trash

Install fresh version of Logos (stable)

I'm still experiencing the same symptoms.

I've attached the error log files as described in other threads.

I tried to launch into a blank app (no resources opened) as suggested in another post. This seems to have fixed my issue. I recently added the Old Testament Prophets to my layout. I wonder if it's this resource that is causing the problem.

Hi Darin,

Did you have Logos 4 opening to the last known layout? Can you try opening Logos 4 to a blank layout*? If it does not crash open The New King James Version alone. Let me know if Logos 4 crashes when trying to open that resource. If it doesn't crash restart Logos 4 normally. Do you have any user-defined highlights that you are using as a visual filter that may be applied to this resource?

*The easiest way to accomplish this is by navigating to your Applicatiosn folder, and launching Logos 4 from there with the Command key held down until you see the sign-in window.

Thanks for the reply. I did exactly what you said and everything seems to work fine now. I noticed the suggestion on another thread. I recently added "Old Testament Prophets" to my layout which is a time-line resource. I'm wondering if that is what was causing the problem.

Hi Darin,

Sorry I didn't see your reply. I had my reply window up while you had finished your update. The timeline being part of a layout shouldn't cause a problem. I know we've had some strange happenings where a timeline somehow got to be the subject of a Reading Plan. If you see that in your file menu you should delete it. The behavior in those circumstances were different, however.
