Calendar Linked Daily Readings

I have some daily reading resources in a saved Layout. These resources have daily readings or commentary and when I access them individually from my library, they all open to the current calendar day. When I retrieve the saved layout I need to manually change the date in the first resource before all of them will refresh. Is there a way to link a saved layout to the current date?

Unfortunately no. When you have a resource in a saved layout, Logos assumes that you want the resources to stay put… I actually don't like the term "saved layout" for that reason. It is really a snapshot of the app state at a given time.

Thanks, I was thinking that was probably the way it worked. This is not a big problem, in fact it helps me to know what day it is!!!

You can update a saved layout to the current view. Open up the layouts menu, and then right click (??) the current layout and choose "update to current view". You could possibly need to hover your pointer over the layout name instead of right clicking, to get to that option -- I don't have Logos on this computer to check it.

The calendar resources still won't dynamically update, but at least they'll be closer to the current date. If it's a layout you use every day, you'll be able to just scroll to the next day on tomorrow.
