The installation of the Proclaim app on my Ipad is stuck. The installation began on Sunday and it still has not finished. Help
Have you tried deleting it and reinstalling?
I cannot do anything with it. Please enlighten me on how I can delete it.
Can you push and hold the app icons (so they start to wiggle) and push the "x" to delete?
That is how one normally deletes something. I was downloading the Proclaim app for the first time onto the IPad. It is stuck in the App Store Update. One can hold it and hold it and hold, but no juiggle since it is not installed.
Other suggestions?
I have the 64GB IPad with plenty of memory available.
Have you done a full shut down of the device? Have you killed all your apps through the multi-task bar?
No. How do I do this? What/where is the multi-task bar?
Alabama, your response helped but has not solved the problem. The Proclaim app has never totally installed and therefore it is not on the multi-task bar. It isstill stuck in the App Store downloads and there is no way that I have found to remove it (if I do remove it, I am not sure I want to retry it). More help is appreciated.

Just to double check: you did try a full shut down, right? If not, try that first.
The next suggestion I would have for you is to do a "reset all settings." Go to your iOS "settings," "general," "reset." If you are worried about doing that, you might try contacting Apple if you have AppleCare.
Yes, I did a full shut down.
I think I will take it into the local Apple store.
Thanks for the help.
I wish I had a "local" Apple store. I will be making a 2 hour drive on Saturday…
If you think about it, let me know what Apple says!
I will try to remember.
Alabama, I took my Ipad into the Apple store and got connected to the internet. The tech was puzzled at first and said "weird." He went in and out of the App store on the Ipad a couple of times and then it started downloading and finished. He said that sometimes apps download better on their server, but really had no explanation.
Thanks for the update Mark! Glad you got it worked out.

I know that one forum member who always had problems downloading apps & resources while using his work wifi connection… he used to go to a cafe to download things.
