Discussion point: default search for related topics

The Related Topics section of the Topic Guide triggers a Search that inherits its parameters from the last Search run - in this case "Heading Text" in "All books in TG:Topics collection" I would prefer that it default to a generic "All Text" and "Entire library" or even better "All Text" and a collection of my choice. What do others think?

This serves to emphasise that Topic Guide is not yet a finished feature, especially in relation to the current "Topic" section in Basic Search.
A Related Topics search should ensure "Entire Library" is the range so that the "Topic" section is populated. But I don't think we should be tailoring a Topic search that should be redundant when Related Topics should permit another Topic Guide to be run for those topics (and the same collection).

The way I would customize the Topic Guide (which is, of course, what I think the default behavior should be[;)]) does not include a Topic search over the whole library so the search is not redundant. Under the conditions I would actually use the Search, if it were not available within the Guide, I would switch to the Search pane rather than initiate another Topic Guide.

I need to step back and re-evaluate the Topic Guide Search
The option doesn't appear for "pride" - perhaps a matter of tuning. So the Search isn't redundant and it should have better defaults; I would opt for the collection used in the Definition section!

I haven't chosen a single test case that had a See Also .... it's a new feature for me. Must be those Catholic topics that come to my mind[:D]

Currently only 18% of the topics have a "See Also", so it's easy to not bump into one.

Our specs calls for the "Search for" link to run a search on Entire Library. I'll report this bug.
