Apparently both I and my computer have lost a day since we both think it's Nov 25, but my home page says it's already Nov 26, Thanksgiving Day (in the US).
Hmmm... my devotionals are on Nov 25, but my lectionary is on Nov 29!!
Another "goodie" on the home page today (tomorrow ?): "Phonetic Searching" -- it's another Logos idea that's not yet ready for prime time. If you don't know the language, why would you be searching for a word in the language? More "Let's pretend" -- Let's pretend we are actually gaining something from looking at a word in a language we don't know. If you really want to gain something from the original language of the texts, LEARN THE LANGUAGE or simply resort to a good commentary. We're encouraging people to be pretenders.

Well, first let me say I like the new way of inputting Greek, and yes, I am one of those who knows enough Greek to be dangerous. I don't care what letters I punch on the keyboard to get the Greek. There is no inspired keyboard layout so why not make it simple.
That being said, all I have to say to you George is Gutvernbag, which I'm sure phonetically means something in some language...but then again, I'm just guessing :-)
Lectionaries are not daily reading plans but more like a coordinated schedule of scriptures for churches to use for services. Thus most lectionary entries are for Sundays. There are other entries for holidays and other major events on the church calendar too.
Hi George
You remind me of my one language instructor. For the first day of his class, he had us take a black marker and cover all of the English phonetics in our text books. He would say "If you want to learn a different language, that is the language you learn..."
It's "good bite" in German.
.
Not really,
but you never know what you'll come up with if you go around making up words. I wouldn't recommend it.
