Re-download almost 5GB to re-install?

Hi there,

I want to format my hard drive to install a new OS and was wondering if I will have to re-download the almost 5GB to re-install Logos4, or is there an installation file that I can copy over to an external drive before I format that will save me the huge download?

are you sure that it's enough just to download the setup file. Don't you have to then allow it to download the prerequisites...

I unplugged when presented with the sign in screen, though you could probably unplug when presented with the EULA.

Point taken. I should clarify that with "download and install from..." - I'll fix it now.

Thanks for posting the workarounds. Unfortunately I couldn't get it to work for me (followed method 3 to the letter). It seems Logos4 has a mind of its own, and it just starts the 4.65GB download no matter what I do. So I'll just swallow the extra bandwidth bill and let it just do its thing... [8o|]

You don't have to. If you try to scan even more times than once, It still will work. I just did it the other day. Just kill the download, stop indexing, write correct path after the scan command, hit enter and than restart the Logos. It should work if the Resources folder you scan is accessible (not restricted).

Did you see the amendment to Method 3? Go off-line before you sign-in (if already signed-in then go off-line before you start L4). Or did it start downloading after the step that says Go online?

Yup, did all of that, but as soon as I go online it started downloading. Also tried stopping it a number of times, but eventually threw in the towel!
