Logos 4 and Windows 7 - Plus-Does L4 include updates for other software add-ons?

I am in the process of installing Windows 7 on my home computer. I am upgrading my processor and my video card and adding two new hard drives (each 640GB) and doing a clean install of Windows 7. Should be like a brand new computer when I am done. Here is my questions(s):

1. Will L4 run smoothly on a Windows 7, 64-bit computer?

2. Not only do I have the Scholar's Library (OC), but also the following add ons - 10,000 sermon illustrations, version 2; AMG Bible Essentials; Library Upgrade ND; NAS Electronic Bible Library; Nelson's Ultimate CDROM (LDLS 3.0); New International Version; Pastor's Library; Preacher's Commentary (LDLS 3.0); The Essential IVP Reference Collection ver. 2.0 and the WEA Theological Resource Library (ver. 3). Will the update work with all of my updates as well...or do I need to get version 4 updates for them as well?

3. What will the version 4 software do for me that the version 3 software would/will not?

I am still trying to decide whether or not to upgrade. How long are the upgrade prices good for? I really cannot afford to upgrade to a different library right now for lots of financial reasons, but think/hope I could swing the lateral upgrade if it proves a worthy upgrade. In reading the forums a bit, looks like there are still some bugs in version 4 that is causing some headaches for those who have upgraded so far, but many do like the upgrade. Help me out here please. Thanks to those who will respond. Dave

No bugs with V4 and Win 7 that I know of...not the release version anyway...

1) I'm running it on 64x and it's awesome. I get the impression that it performs better on a 64x system.

2) all of these book files should transfer well to Logos 4. L4 reads the Libronix book files flawlessly. You won't need to purchase these things again.

3) Version 4 handles searching much better than 3. Its interface takes a while to learn but many tasks are more intuitive.

If you want to play around with the interface you can download the engine for free http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/LDLS4Installer/Logos4Setup.exe keep in mind that there are features that version 3 had that L4 will not do without a crossgrade because of architecture changes (Synoptic parallels, Biblical People/place to name a few). Also the new focus on visual media in the new LE packages is pretty good, if you can swing it I really recommend updating your library to a current package even if you can't step up a level.

Also read: http://www.logos.com/4/missingfeatures There are some things that L3 did that you might want to keep it around for until L4 gets up to speed.

1. It runs well in my Win 7 RC 64-bit. Slightly more responsive, but just as fast as XP runs it on the same computer (see laptop below).

2. Logos have collected just about every resource produced (over 10 000) and put it on their server. Most are upgraded to Logos4 format, which has a smaller size without the need for an integrated index. Third party Home pages are not supported. Associated Guides/Manuals may be downloaded or imported from your v3 installation, but you may as well Hide them in L4.

3. Search entire library faster and provide better search results.

Provides "dynamic" Collections that can be "nested" and that automatically include new resources that match your criteria.

You don't have to create collections just for Searching!

You can create your own Guide templates eg. My Passage Guide, My Exegetical Guide.

You can tag and rate resources that assists with Library Management and forming Collections.

You get more full reverse interlinears than with v3 and they are part of the English language resource eg. KJV, NKJV, NASB95, NRSV, ESV.
