I just upgraded to Windows 8 from Windows 7. My Logos installation still functions however, I cannot install updates. I get prompted to update, but the update fails.
Any ideas?
Thanks...
Jim
Jim, have you restarted the computer since the upgrade? Have you tried installing directly from the web. http://downloads.logos.com/LBS4/Installer/Logos4Setup.exe
Restarting Logos might also help.
Yes, I have done both... still not allowing me to update.
Error code I am getting is: Error writing to file: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Logos4\en-US\logos4.exe.mui. Verify that you have access to that directory. Retry / Cancel
James, have you tried running the software as an Administrator? Your anti-virus or firewall may also be the culprit.
I always say, "Try a hammer"
good reason not to upgrade.
Hammer not needed...[:P]
I reinstalled Logos4, and all seems to be working fine now.
